In the work that we do every day, we see life come full circle. We experience tragedy and death on a daily basis, and we've come to realize that tragedy comes before hope. As one life ends, another life continues because of the generosity and selflessness of those who donate.

We Have Clarity of Purpose

IOPO was founded to further organ, tissue, and eye donation in Indiana. We have done that not only by facilitating donation and transplantation, but also by educating Indiana citizens about the need for donation through our public education programs.

Donation is voluntary and is dependent on the trust donor families have in the donation and transplantation systems as a whole, the healthcare facilities treating their loved ones, and the recovery organization facilitating the donation. IOPO works to earn the trust of donors, families and our partners.

The true success in organ and tissue donation comes from protecting the dignity and integrity of a donor's life even as it ends, and at the same time, remembering the expectations of those in need of an organ or tissue transplant or who may benefit from advancing medical knowledge through research.
