IOPO has established a comprehensive quality management system to include all aspects of quality. These activities include: internal auditing, data management, quality assurance through retrospective chart review, variance reporting of our reportable event system, quality improvement activities, development of organization and department quality plans, root cause analysis when major issues are identified and finally, implementation of corrective and preventive actions when necessary. The IOPO quality department emphasizes a continuous quality improvement model which may evolve from any level and is supported by all of leadership and all employees.  IOPO is accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB) and Association of Organ Procurement Organizations (AOPO) and is regulated by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS), and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA).
