The Vital Link Donation Center

The Vital Link Donation Center is the communication link with Indiana’s donor hospitals referring patients that may be suitable to donate. The Donation Center is staffed with caring, compassionate, professionals, trained to understand the sensitive nature of donation, and how families may be grieving, and discussing complex health issues with patience and sensitivity. Our staff also devotes much of their time, sharing information with families of potential donors, discussing their loss and answering questions about the tissue donation process. We’ll also discuss the option of receiving information about future recipients receiving this generous gift.

Clinical Support Coordinators in the Donation Center will guide families through a questionnaire that helps us determine if donation is medically possible. We approach families with a high degree of sensitivity and can often be flexible about when we call to discuss donation.

The Vital Link Donation Center is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week to serve the donation needs of Indiana.
